I see that their has been some activity since I was last here a while back. I did a quick search and found this, a movie made about the Blue Comet http://www.robertemmons.com/ and some old historical Aerial maps http://www.historicaerials.com/ If you go to 1970 and go to a little East of Woodmansie ...

The other interesting place is going to be the tracks just South of Lakehurst. The swamp kind of overtook them the last I had seen. It has been about 15 years since I was last back there but I recall water up to the row and a few spots were pretty soft. I can not see a 286,000 pound car going over t...

It has been a long time since I have been out there but if I recall I think that the tracks cross the road 2 or 3 times to different abandoned building out there. (Just south of Rt. 72.)

My wife humored me and let us swing by the area so I could get a look see as well. I had never noticed the PRR connector track in the weeds adjacent to the Southern Div/Southern Secondary along Manchester Blvd before. It just sort of runs into the ground about a hundred feet or so before reaching L...

I know that, but I doubt that they are buying new motive power just for this operation. It would make more sense to just re-letter a current unit(s) to the new name and get them transported up to the new line of operation. Maybe I am wrong. I just figured it would be something like Black River &...

I am curious about the tracks just after the siding in Lakehurst heading into Heritage Minerals. Last time I was down those tracks, back in the mid 90's on my quad, they were partially submerged in the water from the swap\lake that sits to the West of them. The ground was pretty soft too as a lot of...

I have not worked out their in years, but I thought they had a curfew of 6 pm and the had to be off the streets. That is what it seemed like at least.

Do not recall if it is the correct name or not, but what about Pleasant Valley over there by the trail to the whiting mountain. That was in pretty bad shape the last time I was through their. (Or is it Wrangle Brook)

I to remember seeing the train pull out across both lanes of Rt.37 to back cars into the lumber yard. That was back in the late 90's early 2000. As for that old station it is in Beachwood not STR.

If you walked south some off of Rt.527, aka Whitesville Rd their is a small bridge back their also about 100 feet off the road (paved). Their was always in the past a lot of stuff stuck to those pillars so I am sure their is a lot more now too. That is part of the Winding River if I recall that goes...

As for bridges, there are a few that I can think of. Between Rt.527 and Rt. 571 there is a bridge. If I had to take a wild guess, about 75 feet long or so. I have not been across since about '97 or '98. Their is another one just South of Rt. 571 before the bridge by Union ave. in Lakehurst. Going No...
