South at DCS LAKEWOOD 9:55 AM 1888 752 4 Woodhavens. Still don't see why they have 2 engines for such a small train. Sent from my SM-A146U using Tapatalk They run two engines for a couple of reasons. One , it speeds up switching out Woodhaven since they don't have to run down to the run around trac...

I believe the bottom picture is at Lambertville station just before the PRR stopped passenger service. Bottom picture was taken in Freehold Boro. Jim Hurley Agreed. Lambertville you'd seen the canal there. Jim, Great pics. Thanks for sharing on the groups. I'd seen them on Facebook and give em a li...

@Blackseal Jim They used Atlantics on the Freehold Branch? Wow. It's crazy how we've gone from steam engines and long lines of cars to just a few diesels and a train that half the time isn't even 10 cars long now. The Atlantics were the main power on this line . Jim Hurley Sent from my SM-A146U usi...

I'm not sure if he did. That particular crossing always has issues though and is in rough shape. A different pal sent me these pictures this morning. I believe they were taken along the Freehold Secondary towards the end of steam. (Mid 50s?) The other picture is of the now long gone CNJ station in ...

2005 752 and 12 cars
Was the new connection used? Or does it still have to be tested?
There's a bit of track that needs to be built to connect the track from the southern to the Freehold Secondary. Good video of it on Facebook

It looked more to me like the engine exhaust shook the wire; I could not discern an actual hit, though others have said they could. Regardless, the lines need to be raised. That's on the utility that owns them, probably not Verizon. Something on a few cars hit it . I started noticing when I was fil...

There is a video on Facebook of low-hanging (telephone?) wires at the Okerson Rd crossing getting touched by the train. Nothing major, but those wires are bouncing in the video... That's the video I took and posted on my Freehold Secondary site . The centerbeams were definitely hitting the Verizon ...

Gotcha. Guess we will wait and see what they end up doing. I have a feeling though , that since this is a leased line , they can't rip anything out without rebuilding it. Perhaps the cleared are will be a spot where poles can be unloaded temporary while the team track is rebuilt
