Came across my dads PRR time books from 1941 to 1970 . Is there a good site or resource on line to help me in decyphering ? Such as engine type ? I have engine number but type code - BC10 or BC8 ? just cant figure that one out ? TNX

BC-10 and BC-8 sound more like train symbols than anything.

Could you post a little more information? Where did your father operate? That would help decipher things a bit.

Did your father work in the Pittsburgh area? BC-8 was a Conway-Blairsville train. I couldn't find a listing for BC-10 but it might have been another train between both terminals.
