Glad to see Extech is getting cars again. I also know the 4441 was based out of Pavonia Yard not too long ago. Any updates on the train tonight would be appreciated.

It looks like a re-crew occurred as there were new cars at Woodhaven this morning.

SA31 just got the OK to leave the Church Runner at 3:07pm.

Didn't hear what the power was - but it's on the way.

Thanks for the heads-up, guys; been thinking about this 'backyard angle' for awhile, so I decided to try it today, as the cloud cover would help while shooting from this side of the tracks.
Not the best light, will probably drag out the flash next time.....

Thanks to all for the updates on the train yesterday. I needed to get to work early this morning anyway and I already knew the train wasn't going to be in Lakewood.

Chris, I like how the photos turned out, especially with the grass and trees being so green.

Sort of off topic, but there will be military vehicles on display at Collingwood Auction on Oct 1 and 2. Not a regular SA31 day, but you never know.

Much obliged, gentlemen, you're very kind. Jt, sorry to hear about your neighbors; honestly, that's not my backyard, I just...er,uh...'borrowed' it for the shot! Didn't even have to trespass, stood right on the sidewalk & fired away.
Gary, what are the chances of those folks 'staging' the military equipment a couple of days before the event? If you could arrange that, we would certainly appreciate it.... :-)

While not necessarily an "upgrade" but could be considered regular maintenance, the grade crossing at Newman Springs Road (Route 520) and the Southern Secondary is scheduled to be replaced i guess tonight and wednesday.

http://www.app.com/article/20110919/NJN ... -Route-520

But lets consider it an upgrade :)

It will definitely be an upgrade for the folks traveling on 520.....that crossing is bad and gotten a lot worse in recent times
