I'll look forward to seeing some new Freightliner locos in the coming months up here on the Settle to Carlisle line then.
However, today I have only seen class 66's. :)
Actually right now outside the 'tower' window I can only see hill fog, visibility is down to about 30 metres!

Tell the shippers not to drop them this time.

For a minute I was a bit preplexed by the Freightliner title, and thought perhaps the UK company had opened a US divison, much like the UK's EWS (now owned by DB) was originally formed by an US company. Green Class 47s running around Western Pennsylvania pulling liner-trains of con-flats - hey, why not!

When they unloaded some on arrival in the Uk they dropped one back into the ships hold. What a mess! Now with bent frames and body damage looks like it might be written off. Got to be a record from building to being out of use!
Shame though.
