Yes. End of lease activities are taking place prior to shipping.
Is that happening now?

Any official news? It's been a while since we've heard anything more about their return.

The 70s were inspected last week hopefully for the last time. When a few minor items are corrected they move as follows:

NECR/Palmer/CSXT/North Bergen/NYSW.

The plan is to fire them up and do some dedicated multiple unit (all70s) train movements to evalaute them for further NYSW service.

Merry Xmas

Woohoo, its like getting 3 new toys to play with. Except i'de be watching and photographing them and not playing. This will be my first experiences with them as I didn't railfan when they were previously on home rails.

Any plans for the bingo shop personel to maybe whip up the airbrush's and put on some fresh black and yellow if they all run fine?

4050, 4052, 4054 are at Palmer Interchange with CSXT at 830a 12-14. Presumed to be Binghamton bound via Syracuse, but I need routing confirmation.

The units are at Binghamton and will be fired up and used over the next several weeks.

@12:15 they where along Court street, across from Dicks.
forgot a camera today, so no pictures :-(
They do look rough, paint is faded, and the SUSQUEHANNA is almost worn off.

Good luck with them, NYSW.

The 4052 did indeed arrive on the SU-100 on Dec 30th. However, the 3016 was
leading, and the 4052 was second out, followed by the 3618 and the 3010. Here's
a couple of quick "grab" shots from this morning:

As the 3010 is the westward unit in the consist, and is facing west already, it
should be the leader on the 99 tonight, barring some mechanical issue.

The 4050 was idling away today next to the enginehouse, and 4054 was behind it, but not running. I'll have pictures up later.
