Hi all,

Anything new on the power scene? Are 421, 426 or 630 in operation yet?

Any motive power news or updates from this great rail operation would be greatly appreciated.

The 426 is working daily at Falconer.

The 630 is about ready to be placed in service. Perhaps this coming week.

How about C424M #421? THis unit has been in the shop for quite some time. Have there been unexpected problems? Any word on when this unit might join the other three C424Ms in service?

Also... of the three C424s and two C430s in storage, which units(s) is most likely to see shop time next?

Thanks,

Jeff

Hi all,

Still seeking information on the last of the four C424Ms, LAL/WNYP #421. Is this unit in sevice yet?

What plans exist for the two C430s and the three ex-LRW C424s?\

The 421 was supposed to be used on the LA&L as a spare, as of last summer when I was up there. They were working on it, but I haven't seen or heard anything of 421 actually operating.

Stored are exNYSW C430s 3000 and 3006 (WNYP 430, 433) and former CALM- Caddo Antione & Little Missouri?, former-er GBW- Green Bay & Western 319, 320, 321. All three of these need extensive work. The LRW never had any C424s, just two C420s.

Did the WNY&P take delivery of the M420 that was coming for long term lease?

Does anyone know if it went to the NY&LE or the OC&T?

The M420 was originally assigned to the OCTL (try searching the Erie Times — www.goerie.com, there's a short article about it there) and the WNY&P returned the unit via Meadville. So, I would assume that's where it went.

I imagine they would interchange it with the B&P if it were going to Gowanda...
