Does anyone know when and/or why the cab positions have been reversed on the #7 line? When I rode it months ago, the full-cabs faced Flushing and the "phone-booth" cabs faced Manhattan. But when I rode the line yesterday I see that they've been reversed. So now if you want to view the Manhattan skyline from the head-end "inbound" you have to do it thru that little window in the full-cab door. :(

What a bummer! I've been looking out the front window of Manhattan-bound Flushing trains for about 40 years now, since I was a little kid. The MTA is really messing with this railfan now !! :(

They were done in late September/early October.

Oh ok, maybe to change direction or something. Although the 1 and several 3 trains have full cabs, in fact ALL 1 trains have full width cabs now, only the 3 still have a few consists that have a corner cab.
