Hi Guys! I was waiting for someone to notice that BC#43 is in Hamburg before I posted anything. I had it moved so I could get more people involved in its restoration. Since it is just me and one other guy working on for the last five years, progress has been slow. Pat C. has been a huge help with all the technical details and my go to guy when I need a name and I couldn't have got it all put back together with out the help of Winters Rigging in North Collins. It would have moved in 2007 but the FRA flagged me on high flanges. On the week of Nov 9th I got the wheels cut and the BSOR moved it on the 25th. Now I have electricity, a restroom and more tools down the tracks. Dave, why are you so quick to rush to judgement? I didn't take it all apart to ship it here but I did get all the pieces and parts of the trucks put back together and they work. If you have 14 - 8volt batteries, I'll get the prime mover up and running a lot sooner. NOTHING was ever cut off or stolen from the locomotive. I'll have all the windows replaced soon and then paint as weather allows. The MacIntosh & Seymore turns over with a bar so I'm sure it will fire up when I get some juice. Below are some links of the most recent work. I'm adding a big update to our website on the restoration so far.
It aggrevates me when someone see's one spot of rust, all of New York has to hear about it. But after I finished painting PRR #4483 again in July, only Adam said how good it looked.
Below are the YouTube video links I took of the most recent activity. Sincerely, Scott H.
