Of the Pullman Plan 2972 cars what still exist and where? any operational? David Livingstone, Henry Stanley, Marco Polo, Pioneer; and Robert Peary. Later, 2 other PV were built to this Plan: Ferdinand Magellan (US Car #1) and Roald Amundsen.

Hi Carter, indeed, at least three are still extant:

http://gcrm.org/magellan.aspx at the Gold Coast Railroad Museum

http://www.sdrm.org/roster/passenger/peary/index.html at the Pacific Southwest Railway Museum (formerly the San Diego Railway Museum).

http://www.therailroadpark.com/exhibits.html at the McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park, located in the heart of Scottsdale, Arizona.

BTW, the Plan is 3972, not 2972.

I will check other sources.
