What are the best, or are there any books on the early UP train-sets, and the UP steam-turbine ?(including the turbines run on James J. Hill's railroads)

IMHO, Kratville's Union Pacific Streamliners. You can find it on eBay.

Also, the Randall P-S books are superb sources as well. V13 covers the early streamliners.

If you've not looked at the UP Historical Society page yet (www.uphs.org), they have a comprehensive bibliography of the Road.
