The Honey Creek Railroad operates a segment of the PRR's Cincy line from New Castle to Sulphur Springs, IN. They use an ex-Conrail SW8. The line was recently up for abandonment. Does anyone know why and who owns the line?

When I was through there better then a year ago, the track appeared gone at that time. The elevator in SS looked abandoned, or atleast little used and the old Conrail SW was gone.
There was a post on one message board from a NS engineer stating the line has been out for awhile.

I was in the area back in 1994 or 1995 and even then the line was totaly overgrown with weeds and looked like it was not used much..
