Apologies if you already posted an answer to this ... but where's the bridge over Pavonia where you got that last pic?

Unfortunately, SubwaySpot is down for a week for upgrading. That photo was taken from the State Street bridge. The 27th Street bridge also gives good views of Pavonia, as does the NJTransit River LINE DMU light rail train.
