Hey all,

I'm working on some repaints of the Long Island GP38-2's for Auran's Trainz Railroad Sim, and I was wondering if anybody out there knew and/or had the font that the LIRR used for the numbers on the numberboards found on the GP38-2s, FA's, and F7s in the later years. (mid 80s on) Is there any chance that anybody else out there knows if the railroad had a font they used?

The font of numbers I'm looking for:

Credit for the photo goes to Kevin Gulau, great picture.

Thanks in advance,

The fonts on the number boards are just one of the many variates that EMD used from the factory. In later years, some of them (especially the power packs) sported home made number boards using what ever was in the shop at the time. A few of them even used black electrical tape!!
