There are some interesting photos of a train wreck on the Jackson/Tom's river border in this photo gallery. I was wondering if anyone had any information about this.

Thanks

My good friend, who is a well known CNJ author, tells me that this wreck happened because a couple of kids threw a switch. There were two FM roadswitchers involved, both were scrapped after they were stripped for some parts. I think the switch was a customer's siding.

David,

I had thought so. Thanks for taking the time to reply.

I was looking through my "Trail of the Blue Comet" book. The only derailment reference I remember seeing from that year was in Chatsworth. I didn't see anything for a Toms River derailment.
