Today, October 27th 2004, is a big day.

Today's facts:

-October 27, 2004, The anniversary train obeys the speed limit.

Interesting coincidence:

Annoying sidetrack to the occasion:
That sidetrack that will forever take up part of the "today in history" lines over this great subway day is.....
-October 27, 2004, World Series. The Boston Red Sox break the "Curse of the Bambino" as they beat the St Louis Cardinals in a clean sweep (not official yet, but come on, they are winning 3 nothing in the 4th already after winning the previous 3 games too). Not only have they beaten us with an older subway, they now take NYC's subway anniversary with their own anniversary.....forever mixed with the subway in the "Today in History...." blurbs. When they stick it to NY, they do it good!
