What will the configuration of the yard be, and what will it's car-capacity be? Double-ended or stub-ended?
Railroad Forums
It is kind of strange that the yard entrance faces LIC, but it's said to be a yard for NYAR. They'd have to drag the train past the yard to get it in.My guess is it would be cost prohibitive to double end the yard, and if switching on the man is involved, it is easier at the west end as there are no grade crossings to worry about.

Tank cars will be unloaded on the new Bliss tracks. Transfer pipes will be buried under the street to get the product into the refinery.

Why would'nt a spur be permitted into the Getty facility? They probably couldn't get a permit to do it. This is the Land of No.
Didn't Fink leave LIC?Quite possible. I haven't been down in that area in quite a while.
