LTEX has been heavily attacked by thieves. The nature of their business results in large amounts of metals that can be sold for quick cash. They have gone to a lot of trouble to eliminate this problem by installing jersey barriers, fences, patrols, security devices, etc. The local police have been advised to arrest all trespassers.
You cannot blame them for taking this stand. Just one incident that comes to mind is that nearly all of the AMTK F40 units had their head-end power supply cables cut off. There are more horror stories.
I have known the owners since they opened the rail related side of the business and have assisted them in moving motive power and I have been involved in purchasing parts from them. For that reason, they have in the past, allowed me the opportunity to photograph, but I would not count on it in the future due to the climate in the area. I would strongly suggest that if you are goign to photograph, you do it from the bridge or seek permission, keeping in mind however, that this is a business and they don't have people around to escort photographers. There are locomotives that can be photographed from access roads leading to other businesses in the park.
