Hey guys,

Got a question for the UP guys here re train symbols. I never worked on territory with anything but coal, but a friend is asking me about train symbols and my memories from TCS training are getting a little hazy. Manifest trains run under M symbols. but where do Q and T symbols fit in? I think Q trains are priority humpers, but I cannot recall for sure and I am at a loss as to what a T train is (I dont think I ever saw one on CAD personally). Any help would be appreciated here before I open my mouth wide enough for my foot to clear. Thanks!

q is priority manifest as you stated. as for t i have not seen that either. will do some more checking.

I don't think I've ever seen a T either. I've seen A,M,S,Z.

Yeah, after a couple of days of checking here I cannot find a T train anywhere. Some of you guys who are still hooked into CTS might be able to dig one up on an =TL somewhere, but my hunch is that this guy found this symbol off one of those internet lists for foamers. Thanks for checking!

From what I've seen Union Pacific dosen't use "T" as part of their train symbols.

Actually "O" is Other bulk commodity... I've seen fertilizer trains come thru as "O" trains.
