The rail-served Mount Airy Cold Storage (MACS) facility in Mount Airy, MD, has been closed and is being demolished. Details can be found here:

The facility used EMD SW1 No. 9007 (ex-Upper Merion & Plymouth 9007, exx-UM&P 19, exxx-PB&NE 19, nee PB&NE 200) built in March 1942. Parent corporation MHW Group moved MACS operations and its locomotive to a new facility adjacent to I-95 and CSX in Perryville, MD. The MHW Group corporate website may be found here
