A little off topic, but isn't there a claim that the Bernardsville Library has a ghost in it? Maybe it's the Hookerman.

Mr. JLo,

The FORMER Bernardsville Public Library has the ghost of an old Revolutionary War Soldier's daughter by the name of Phyllis Parker. The building which is now a lawyers office use to be a tavern during the war.

The current library is in a brand new facility although I havent been there yet!

It will be interesting to see which photographs have been selected.

Mr Hill was actively photographing trains for sixty (?) years, I believe.

NJT, thanks for the correction. BTW, there is no need to call me Mister unless I am in trouble.

I'm not familiar with Mr. Hill. Is he still alive? Anything else I should know about him?

Nick,

No, unfortunately Homer Hill pased away about 4 or 5 years ago! He is survived by his wife and his son David....

Interesting to note that he was on the very first Lackawanna Mu train out of Hoboken in 1930 with Thomas Edison aboard and he also rode the very last DL&W Mu train out of Hoboken in 1984.....

Had a chance to meet him a couple of time at the Tri State Train shows in the 80's. Nice man. He even signed a few prints of his work for me after I bought a few prints from him
