What's the prefix for a circus train on the BNSF? For example what would be the symbol for a KC-Chicago move?

??KCK-CHC

Depends on where its going in Chicago Really. But you have the KCK part right CHI goes Chilli and CHC goes Mendota. If the train is to stay in lets say Eola it would be the KCKEOL but for the life of me I cant remember what the first letter would be. Will ask about.

The BNSF considers circus trains to be unit trains. Normally, a unit train is a train moving from the same origin to the same destination carrying a single commodity, such as taconite (iron ore). The symbol for a unit train is U. For example, a RBBBC train which ran from Moline, IL to Kansas City, Missouri in September had the symbol U MLNKCM.

Don't forget KCM(K.C. missouri) and KCS(K.C. south).
