A submission of mine that is not covered would be the Holiday Inn-Express at Coralville, IA. Best rooms there for Iowa Interstate (Rock Island) viewing are those facing West.
Only downside: not all that much action.
Now if this same hotel was similarly located along the Union Pacific (C&NW), say, up in Fairfax or Norway, then I would be saying "five star don't miss".
