Perhaps mu26 saw the Columbia Branch to Lancaster. The branch was active during Conrail. Judging from the yard at Dillersville there must be quite a bit of local industry business at Lancaster.

The line I was referring to breaks off the current branch line that goes off the southeast side of town and goes through Centreville and to Lancaster, serves the Twizzler's plant, Pennfield Feeds. The abandoned line in question breaks off in the area of Union or Mill Streets. The track is paved over at multiple crossings, but is still there. It had 3-4" trees growing until the other week, and everything has been cleared.

Here I am a year later, asking the same question. Going back to the Noble House B&B, staying in Peake's Parlor http://www.thenoblehouse.com/rail.html. Fantastic railroad-themed room, by the way...

What is traffic like in Marietta these days?

Isn't there also an Auto Parts/Multi-Level train that runs over the Port Road to Newark, DE?
