Did anyone catch in Railpace the mention of a new rail business in Devens MA? Sounds like they would like to build a construction waste removal business, similar to what is trying to be built in Wilmington. Trucks haul in the waste, rail takes it away (after processing, I assume).

I bet the odds are better such a thing occurs in Devens instead of Wilmington, as the area already has a lot of trucking.

Thoughts?

This is on CSX, right? It helps to have a railroad that's interested in your business.

Guilford owns the ex-B&M yard there, though CSX comes up from Worcester.

I'm thinking CSX gets to Ayer on trackage rights ... so ... local switching would be done by GRS. Though if GRS "borrows" CSX power, looks may be decieving.
