One will be in the lead on the way out, the other will be in the lead on the way back..
they dont get turned.

speaking of getting turned around ,if they have to, do they use the way just shy of Avon to turn engines around or is that abandoned and removed?

Northbound #421 leading #425 and 9 cars into Avon. Switched some cars in the yard and headed north. Southbound from Avon, #425 leading #421 with 5 cars south from Avon, after switching cars in Avon.
Cars sitting on the Kraft Industrail spur with more tank cars in the yard.

#421 & #425 slowly approached the downgrade into Avon yard from Lakeville this morning with 22 cars.

Northbound today with #421 and #425 and 20 cars into Avon. On the return today to the LAL is #420 fresh from the Bessemer Shops. Pictured on railfan is #420 is pulling a plow destined for the Finger Lakes RR. We may see #420 on the LAL as it reaches its own railroad later.

#420 was pictured on railfan.net in Andover NY, by Doug, on the WNYP, enroute to Hornell for the transit to Silver Springs and then onto the LAL. It had an NS Plow in tow that is destined for the Finger Lakes RR. #420 was not part of the southbound trip today. #425 and #421 south out of Avon after switching with 19 tank cars and a covered hopper.

North into Avon with #421 leading #425. with a mixed consist. Stopped to do switching at Kraft. Got some good pictures of the switching. Maybe the last good day for camera work for awhile.

This mornings northbound lead by #421 with #425 was a consist of 22 covered hoppers and tank cars into Avon.

Southbound #425 leading #421 and 25 cars. Last car of this southbound from Avon was a low sided gon, the rest were covered hoppers and tankers.

#421 leading 425 into Avon with 19 cars. Switching at Kraft brought in a covered hopper but didnt drop it, out with 6 tank cars. The covered hopper might be going to the grain storage siding north of Avon. Then northbound to the Junction.

Train #2 on the LAL today. LAL#20 came into Avon, picked 3 covered hoppers parked on the team track# 2 siding and headed south to Lakeville while the road train was in Rochester.
