Did M&E buy 2 F40's?

Went by the Ridgedale Ave siding and spotted 2 ex Amtrak F40's sitting on the west end of the siding. I am assuming M&E purchased these units?

Hmmm....a couple F40's in the M&E paint scheme....bright red body, black roof, yellow pin-striping and a yellow diamond on the nose.

How about a two-toned green paint scheme and Maine Eastern lettered on the side.

Any of the above would be OK. Let's hope they don't follow the lead their 7215 experiment and paint it basic black.

As posted in the M&E forum 265 was running in front of the shop today. From the amount and color of exhaust at idle it needs some TLC from the mechanical department.

What? Or those the 2 leased NJT F-40's? It would neat to see M&E F40s in red.
