Service pin question

I found this SP pin and wondered if anyone could tell me what the 2 rubies signify ? Thanks, Steve in so az

In some companies in the manufacturing and aircraft industries, two red rubies are five years service, three are ten years service. However I never worked for Southern Pacific, their service pin arrangement may have been different. A good way to check this out would be to watch some eBay auctions to see what scheme is used for service pins from various industries.

I worked at a company that had service pins for each year W/ colored stones every five years so this could be a ten year pin...
