Pertaining to all railroading subjects, past and present, in New Jersey

Interesting. I wonder if this is a case of a "use it or lose it" grant in action, or the base is looking for rail service again. That being said, Lakewood-Lakehurst has not happened (yet, if ever), and if it's going to, I saw a grant for FY24 rail assistance, and DRRR is not mentioned on it.

There is also a document going around from C&D that lists the Earle - Red Bank section of track as Out-of-Service officially

Huh. Usually they wait at Woodhaven for Dover Oil to fuel them there...

Forgot to mention this on the Military siding clearing. They also cleared everything away from the middle of the track inside the Fort Dix property. Usually they don't do that either, they just cut the larger stuff but this time everything in the gauge has been removed. Still left the small stuff on the outside though.

I am referring to a small siding that branches off the Southern just north of Lakehurst, so Navy Lakehurst yes.
