Shipping alliances are changing. not clear to me whether this will impact SJ in a good or bad way.

SJ is outside of the scope of the Gemini network according to Hapag (specifically it mentions Europe - Canada trades). That doesn't mean they are going away, its just not part of the new combined Hapag/Maersk service offerings.... at least yet.
