We are referring to the Back Bay Station itself, not at track level, where yes, you will smell diesel exhaust.

New photos of the Baltimore Penn Station redevelopment. Taken on 7/09/2022

Kirkwood, Missouri--a popular suburban St Louis stop on the cross state Missouri River Runner route is set to undergo a rebuilding. Mr. Kirkwood was the main land surveyor on the Missouri Pacific Railroad and the town is named after him.

Pacific Railroad owned the land for more than 150 years and sold it to Kirkwood for about $1 million in 2003.

“We don’t want the station in the hands of a private individual who might use the site for other purposes,” City Administrator Mike Brown told the Post-Dispatch in 2003. “It’s the centerpiece of Kirkwood.”

Handsome station. Sounds like the small town is really invested in their railroad station. Only negative is the modern fake wood flooring. Was the second floor for offices or was it a signal "tower"?

Just look at that beautiful control panel footage. They'll be moving it out and over to the newer Baltimore Penn Station complex as it's being built now.

I liked Baltimore better before they turned it sideways.
