I went over the Center Bridge Rd. crossing in Lancaster today. There is no sign of any activity or track material on both sides of the crossing.

Thanks
In that case work this season on Worcester main will, I believe, likely be limited to Worcester to Clinton to satisfy the commitments made to Mwra

A W013 CWR train ran east over the CSX/B&A line 8/31/22 passing Westfield cam at 2254 and Springfield Union Station cam at 0107 9/1/22. Here's a screen grab off the Springfield cam of W013 illuminated by the Palmer local returning to W Springfield yard. A FaceBook poster says the rail is headed for Rigby Yd.

Yes this one is for Rigby, half loaded.
I'm told they actually want to redo the entire yard. Some tracks will come out, the rest replaced.

What are CSX's ultimate plans for Rigby; rebuild the yard for carload or will intermodal somehow work into a newly rebuilt and reconfigured yard?

Long term, both. Short term, be able to move 10 MPH in the yard and not derail.

I know of 3 tracks being removed in the future at Rigby: 31, 45, and 61. They’re removing these in order to spread the rest of the tracks out so that there is proper space between the remaining tracks for employees to walk.

At 1606 Wednesday 9/7/22, X426 passed the Chester MA live cam with Maine-bound traffic including 3 centerbeams and 14 CSX gons of new ties.

And 15 more CSX gons loaded with new ties are coming east in the consist of M426-08 passing the Chester cam around 1440 Thursday 9/8/22. This is beginning to look serious!

Observed progress on the Worcester line seems to have stalled lately with welded rail now installed (on original ties) on the North rail between Sterling St in Clinton and Gates Rd in Sterling and the South rail installed between Sterling St and somewhere adjacent to East Wauschascum Pond in Sterling. Maybe, as read in another thread, the crews are on the PAS main line trying to get that into minimum shape first.

Thanks for the heads up on the CWR train. It looked like there were only 8 pieces of rail on the cars. That works out to about one mile of rail. If this is the train noted last week it was about half loaded at that time. It was reported that the rail was bound for Rigby yard. Anyone see or report a drop there?

It looks like the second to bottom rack was dropped in Rigby, but definitely need confirmation on that.

Welded was laid from 201 all the way in to the back lead switch. They also dropped a small segment between the tower and 199. The day that video was shot they laid rail on the curve just west of MP174 that's been bad for a few years now. Not sure where the rest is going.
