Seeking info on the renumbering or numbers for the idler cars Both the 3rd rail cars in use with the DD1's, for example and the cars used for switching/hump viability purposes.
1. For examples:
The LIRR AA-1 depicted above was LIRR's #323 "Phoebe"; the only one built by PRR's Juniata Shops. It was always accompanied by her compressor (ex-test gear) car which also served as a reacher in spanning long gaps in the all-essential third rail.
