10/6/2020 Update

Crew worked on the trestle all day today again. Still unsure of what specific renovations are being made.

1701 is resting comfortably under the Rte 27 bridge in Medfield. From what I can tell, it was recently repainted (or atleast cleared of graffiti). Looks like some new lights as well.

Except for some brush cleanup, work has been completed. Understand the 1701 has moved back to her regular nesting site!

Other than the trestle, was any track work done?

Not much except a rumored pair of broken rails to be changed out or something like that.

i'm not wickedly familiar with the seminole gulf and eastern folks but i do know that they don't appear to have a history of throwing money out the window unless there is an impending sizable payback.

Anything happened since this flurry of activity? Any rumors?

Transformer move pushed back to early 2021. Whispers of Tresca using rail again. We'll see.
