On Friday, November 1st, ConnDOT announced the new Hartford Line schedule effective Monday, November 11th. They still refer to the Amtrak trains as "Regionals" even though most of them are called Hartford Line trains now except for the Valley Flyers and the through Northeast Regionals. There aren't many changes, which really frustrates me. The four hour gap in the middle of the day during the week southbound is still there, and CTrail #4404 still gets into Hartford at 9:05 AM, instead of moving it earlier for those who need to be at work at 9. There is seemingly no work to getting it to a clockface schedule (e.g. not having to remember the schedule and knowing each train arrives at a certain station every hour/two hours/half-hour during peak times. Southbound weekday Amtrak #479 moved five minutes later at every station and the next train, CTrail #4467, moved 37 minutes later, and as noted below, originates in Windsor Locks.
I do appreciate the Valley Flyer trains being listed as connecting trains in Springfield, but confused that they changed the number of 448 to 48.
The rest of the Amtrak Hartford Line trains have changes of one to three minutes and the connecting Amtrak and Metro-North train times changed to connect with their updated timetables.
What is interesting is the one train in each direction every day which originates/terminates in Windsor Locks.
