I remember hearing that the 1075 was going to be painted in the old school 1000-1017 paint scheme. Did this happen?

Unknown and doubt it.

It's rumored the last three units from the whole rebuild program are
going to sport some sort of special scheme. Have no proof one way
or another though.

Would they be the units with MassDOT paint colors on them that would be painted differently, like the 1056?

They could use the B&M Minuteman scheme, on account of the T CR being on-time to the minute :-D

1063 finally made it out of Chicago last night on CSX Q388-13 after spending
11 days in the Windy City.

The 1028 returned to service today and was kept on the south side. Actually got to see it today, caught me by surprise. It's the set with control car 1815, with GP1134 attached on behind it. I saw it when train 830 pulled into Attleboro. From where I was watching, I couldn't see the engines, but I could definitely make out the GP in the set as you can hear those things from Pluto, so it was an eye popper when I saw the 1028 in front once the train started rolling out.

When they transport the Engine attached to an other engine like that, is it just freight or are they actually using the engine as power?

They're totally shut down when being shipped.

The 1075 is rumored to be back in Selkirk off Q434, but the CSX trace says otherwise.

The 1035 should be next out.
