I seriously wish old versions were available. I see excellent images of various places but I wish I could see older versions !!!!!

Google Earth has overlays of older imagery available - usually one or two from the 1990s, and then many over the last 20 years. Historic Aerials has a wider span of aerials (though lower quality), plus topo maps.

There are plenty of satellite-imagery sites, and some of them offer freebies. It will be necessary to research them to discover their (1) areas of coverage, (2) image resolutions, and (3) time depth of archives.
