NYC Police Begin Searching Bags

Passengers carrying bags will be selected at random before they pass through turnstiles, and those who refuse the police request won't be allowed to ride, Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly said.

I won't be riding the subway until tomorrow, Saturday. Was anyone riding today? Did you see the police inspecting bags? Were you stopped?

Did not see anyone inspecting bags where I was today.

I saw some newspaper photos and actual news reports showing some riders being scrutinized of their possesions, just like here in MBTA-land last year during the DNC, which I actually voluntarily offered to have my stuff scrutinized and took it all in stride.
