2018 Subway Delay Thread

Shuttle buses replacing Green Line E Branch service between Lechmere and North Station due to a trolley accident at Lechmere. Please expect delays as buses are sent.

Uh oh...

Derailment on the B line this morning.

Looks like the 8 split the switch while crossing back over to head inbound. 3890 is the culprit.

The Type 8 strikes again!

Almost 11 hours later and service is still down from B.U. East to Kenmore. The Green Line has been an absolute mess today, every train I saw was packed, and I had to wait close to 20 minutes for a C train.

Given how the Breda carried out a slow-motion re-enactment of the Eschede rail disaster with that inspector's hut standing in for the bridge pier, I'm not surprised that it's taking a while to open the B line back up.

Train is back on the tracks now. Service will probably be back up soon.
