Three B40s were fairly solidly confirmed via reliable sources, then some other guy started saying an additional four on facebook without any real source to substantiate his claim.

Not B Dubs again???

Never take the word of a guy who suggests that VRS should run SD70s up the Pompy.

GECX 5972, 5973 & 5968 should be at Rotterdam Jct already or soon from Selkirk.

Those were the three that the Union RR was testing (and found unsuccessful).

Did PAR Watervile shop finally get a delivery of Crankcase oil for the fleet or are they still stealing crankcase oil from dead units?

MEC 609 left the property this week bound for Altoona, the unit is rumored to be heading to the Winchester and Western, like the 614 and 615. Supposedly most of the oos SD40-2's have been sold, exept for (this is subject to change as more information becomes available) MEC 600, 604, 606, 613? ( I am not sure on this unit), 616, and 619 along with the 3400's. SD40-2's on the deadline include MEC 601, 602, 603, 605, 607 (ExMILW Bicentennial unit), 608, 610, 611 (Prime mover used in one of the 3400's which suffered from freeze damage), 612, 613, 617, and 618. The 600, 606?, and 616 have been marked as oos in a recent roster in the Guilford Rail Sightings Yahoo group.

The information was from November so some of the 600's could have been reactivated.

The 609 was the former Bicentennial unit, not the 607. 600, 604, 606, 616 and 619 are the running 600s at this time. In other news, the 5936 has been painted, and released from Waterville, went west last night.

The unit has arrived in ED, and based on some roof shots by Mat Baj, Jr., speculation appears that this unit may be running on the ED/PL job.
