Did anyone hear the cause of the Auto Train auto carriers derailment last week. I haven't seen or heard anything about the cause except a rumor that it might have been a broken rail from a railfan rumor board.

I still remember sitting in the "Starlight Lounge" listening to live entertainment in a magnificent Sante Fe "Big Dome" under a man-made starlight ceiling, watching movies in the diner, eating in a dome car. It was pretty cool but the unique equipment made it really special for any railfan. Who knew red, white, purple and yellow would work as a color scheme?hazmatmess » Fri Jul 20, 2018 11:16 pmHope everyone enjoyed the trip! We've ridden it three times round-trip.
