ST 100 & 101 (2 of Pan Am's business cars) have been loaned out to CM&Q. They were hauled to NMJ Friday, and ran north and then west to Jackman and beyond on Sunday. The CM&Q leg of the trip was led by CM&Q GP38-3 3812. Maine Train Chaser was able to catch the move and posted video of the Bangor Sub (old B&A Millinocket Sub) leg of the trip. https://youtu.be/uqPkK3ywqOE" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and video of the Moosehead leg of the trip. https://youtu.be/jN-OjB776V0" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Rumor hazit, the cars are to be part of a joint marketing effort with a trip from Farnham to Deerfield planned for this week. Maybe rumors of "the Vermont Gateway" are coming true?

If someone had told you a month ago that a CMQ loco would be
hauling the two PAR OCS cars and trip the hot box detector
in Ayer MA, you might have thought it was April Fools Day.
Thanks to Bruce MacDonald for the photo today (2/2/18)

Then there's this shot, with VTR 308, which was somehow up in Farnham, and got picked up to be part of this train as they took the Conn. River line south.

Why are they doing this?

Multi-railroad marketing deal. Trying to open up the Vermont gateway, Farnham-Deerfield. Give CM&Q a connection with NS.
