That is probably the first photo I have ever seen where Pan Am's image so clearly upstaged a Class I.

You can do that with any freshly painted engine next to a run of the mill freight engine, lol. For a real comparison, put the NS OCS next to Pan Am's, and see which one upstages the other.

I'll say this: Pan Am's business train makes Florida East Coast's look like it was slapped together. All the equipment is mismatched and the HEP generator is in a box in a well car.

I rather have track like that and a sh#ty clown train than a nice OCS and Pan Am's track.

That's not a "business train", its a special movement with CSX business cars, and only one FEC car. Unlike PanAm, FEC doesn't field a business train, and also unlike PanAm they run a first class operation.

How do you figure? They keep an observation car ("Azalea") and a standalone HEP generator just for the heck of it? It might be just one car and just one generator, but a train's a train, and they conduct company business aboard it; by definition, wouldn't that make it a business train?

As for the rest of what you and newpy wrote, I don't disagree.

Everyone:

After looking at the PAR locomotive pictures to me now Pan Am Railways is today's version of
"Big Blue" using Conrail's former nickname. This is a good simple color scheme. :-)

Where is the info about the number which the software shows having to be the same as the road number? After the Conrail split, I had lots of Conrail engines, which had been renumbered for NS. The display screen had Conrail xxxx, while the road number had been changed. These were microprocessor units, like SD60Ms, and -8 40CWs.

New FRA or other agency rule? Don't know. Thats what I'd heard.
