MTA Announces Fare and Toll Proposals

It's that time of year again when the MTA proposes it's bi-annual fare hikes

Funny how most of the hearings start at 5:00 PM, when most folks are leaving work

I think that's quite customary in other places as well, to enable interested persons to attend without having to take time off from work.

The five o'clock start permits working people to attend if they care enough. And it provides enough time to accommodate all the crying cat-women, train buffs with crayon-drawn maps and political wannabes to drone on and cry about their lives' problems caused by the MTA before fares are increased.
