I'll be in Clinton, Iowa next week and I was wondering if there were any good spots for some ad hoc railfanning.

Places to get reasonably close without tresspassing or especially scenic overlooks?

Thank you.

No answers here, but --

Clinton Iowa is the perfect town for informal railfanning.

Lots of freight traffic where it can be seen safely from public areas, including overlooks from bridges.

The east end is good because the monotonous UP is broken up by BN and CP.
