Metra Locomotive Assignments And Maintenance

99 was sitting with 97 outside the Western Ave. shop this morning.

Update to the named locomotive list. Saw 203 today on the Rock and it was in Operation Livesaver livery.

Hey guys, I know very little about Metra but whatever happened to the alleged METX 217-219?

Saw 401 at CUS yesterday. It has gone through the 3S to 3C conversion. Got a new coat of paint also.

I don't remember those VRE locomotives ever being mentioned here.

Didn't the ex-VRE units wind up at a loco dealer instead??

Edit: Also, this Progress Rail facility in Georgia is ... pretty small!

I guess this follows under "assignments". 111 has been on 2227 3 weekdays in a row, 8/5, 8/8 and 8/9. I don't remember having the same locomotive more than once in a row before. Looking forward to seeing what we have tonight.

Just saw on the Channel 7 news that 175 has been returned to service after rebuilding. It is painted in the MP36/F59 livery.

423 is back in service. Saw it on the break-in train this morning.

423 has been in service for awhile, it was running on the Rock Island since coming out of overhaul. It was just returned to the MILW earlier this week.

Any one know why there is a metra f40ph sitting at the south end of metra's 123rd st yard in blue island?

Nice shot. Looks like they are using a lighter shade of blue on the F40s vs. the MP36s.
