I had a chance to ride Tri-Rail back in January during my first visit to Miami. Unfortunately, that one ride turned out to be my only ride on Tri-Rail. I had hoped to take it back from Lake Worth to the Airport, but a derailed train prevented that, and almost left me stranded at the airport.

I was surprised that the DMU are still there. Do they see service?

Friday, January 29th the first NB train of the AM hit some debris on the track between Cypress Creek and Pompano and it tied up both Tri-Rail and Amtrak for the entire day.

Ah, so it was debris. I was left with the impression of a rail condition.
