UncleCheapo:

Its a symptom of starvation of quality freight railroading east of the Hudson. There's so little going on that we actually pay attention to garbage moves.

Personally I enjoy the finer nuances to the trash transportation business. Custom made containers are on the right.

#157 is a LIRR MP15AC, NYA MP15AC #s are, 151, 155,#156 and #159.

The 159 is OOS; the 151 lacks a nose logo which makes it easier to spot from a distance.

Spotted westbound through Deer Park last night a MP15ac and leased CiT GP38-2 moving quick with a freight. Did not know the NY&A had a leased engine.

Been out of the loop for a while. Roughly when does freight run into Suffolk County these days? Are Port Jeff and Montauk Freight ops basically dead? What times would we catch movements on Main? Also, is there action into Calverton branch?
