An NS 506 arrived in South Jersey yesterday evening in the last rays of light with NS 1048, the original Norfolk Southern heritage unit NS 8114, and NS 9821. The train and power are currently still in Deepwater.

NS 506 ran last night with NS 9375, 8126, and 9716. It was an aluminum set of hoppers.

The previous Deepwater coal train was an 874 and departed very early in the morning on the same day. Here is a photo of the power in Deepwater on the 3rd.

Co-Gen switcher 104 now has PRLX (Progress Rail) reporting marks and has been spotted outside of the facility getting some maintenance work done.

The rarest of all that is rare, NS 502, ran early this morning with NS 9414, 2734, 6942, and 9516. The consist originally had three engines until the 6942 developed a problem, necessitating the need to pick up an extra engine at Abrams. Due to work, I only had one chance to catch them which was at Folsom. Box car on the siding is for Atlantic Sweetener.

Trailing engines-

One of only two or three Conrail hoppers-

More shots of 502 from JR who chased it from Braddock to just about the plant-

WPCA51 ran the loaded 780 coal train from Beesley's Point today. This is the second train exporting coal from the closed plant and could possibly be one of the last times coal will ever be moved on the line again.

The end of an era...thanks for documenting John, you and Ben and Bob are always in the right place at the right time. Hopefully the Bees can somehow survive....
