Metal ridge on Silverliner IV

Does anyone know the purpose of the new metal ridges on the center of the roof on Silverliner IV's?

I've noticed a bunch lately and am curious as to what they're for. I have a sneaking suspicion it might be GPS related, but I'm probably wrong.

Antenna for PTC.
That is the plastic radome that protects the antenna.

These "domes" are also present on the PP cab cars.
